Label Text

Nicholson’s carefully observed still life paintings are among his most important work. In this work he captures the cyclamen as the blooms are at their fullest and about to drop, imbuing the scene with a sense of delicacy and fragility. His careful economy of brushstrokes and colour are typical of Nicholson’s approach.
