From the church of San Giorgio in Ruballa; with a Florentine dealer by 1827; Davenport-Bromley collection by 1854; his sale, Christie’s London, 12 June 1863, lot 86; purchased by Webb, from whom acquired shortly thereafter by Thomas Gambier-Parry; by descent to Mark Gambier-Parry; bequeathed to the Home House Trust (now the Samuel Courtauld Trust), 1966.
