The present bowl is in the style of wares made either in Urbania (formerly known as Castel Durante) or in Pesaro, but it may have been made by a Marchigian potter working in Lazio, as it is well established that potters from Castel Durante exported the style outside the region, especially to Rome and surrounding towns.
