Nicodemus anoints Christ while
Joseph of Arimathea wraps the body.
Above them Christ crowns his mother
as Queen of Heaven.

Inscription: incised on back 'MONDE' (probably in an 18th-century hand) and inscribed 'John Betts', followed by a number, 2600 or 2601 ('John Betts' presumably refers to the collector of that name active in Birmingham in the mid nineteenth century)

Label: small paper label on back with the number 11 in ink
