Inscriptions

Inscription: PR //

Inscription: The Strand crowded with traffic all day presents a very different appearance in the small hours of the morning. The solitary policeman beguiles the tedious hours by turning his bull's-eye on to the windows of picture / dealers' shops and on to those of the illustrated paper. The Daily Graphic office window is a favourite with the force. Here they get the news of the day and can inspect the sketches without interruption, save by the cats of / the neighbourhood //
