Our Saviour and the Twelve assembled on the Mount, the multitude / gathered in groups around the base, shepherds and their families / looking up in wonder and adoration, a vast extent of country seen / behind. In the third vol. of the "Liber Veritatis," No. 138, will / be found an engraving from a similar drawing, designed for a picture / executed in 1656, and thus described, "A view of the sea, with / Christ preaching on the Mount (the water below may probably be / intended for the Sea of Tiberias). N.B. 'Monte Tabor' is written on / this drawing." //
