Inscription: MALMSBURY ABBEY. / London: Piblish'd as the Act directs, 21 Dec.r 1780, by T.Hearne & W.Byrne. / O! it pities us / to see these antique towers, and hallow'd walls / split with the winters Frost, or mouldring down / their very Ruins ruin'd; The crush'd Pavement / TIME's marble register, deep overgrown / with Hemlock, or rank Furnatory, hides together with their perishable mold / the brave man's Trophies, and the good man's praise, / envying the worth of buried Ancestry! //
