Inscription: In the lower margin, directly beneath the image: at left 'Painted by N. Poussin'; in the centre 'Exode. XV,-15.' and '2 Mose. XV,-15.'; and at right 'Engraved by W.H. Mote'. In the centre of the lower margin: '"They said one to another, - It is Manna." / Exodod XV,-15.' Below this, in the centre 'Fisher, Son & Co, London and Paris'; and at right 'Proof'. Inscribed in graphite in the lower left margin: 'Isn't this in fact / after the Romanelli / in the Louvre?'
