Inscription: Recto: lower centre, typed: De la Mer, Henry Booth, Lord. / Engraved in mezzotint by Smith from a painting by Kneller. / ACCUSED of joining in the Duke of Monmouth's rebellion, but / acquitted by his peers. He took an active part in the Revolution, and / was sent, together with the Marquis of Halifax and the Earl of Shrews- / bury, to inform King James that the Prince of Orange desired he would / quit Whitehall. Died in 1693.
