Inscription: inscription : printed : lower centre on attached paper & recto : : De la Mer, Henry Booth, Lord. / Engraved in mezzotint by Smith from a painting by Kneller. / Accused of joining in the Duke of Monmouth's rebellion, but acquitted by his peers. He took an active part in the Revolution, and was sent, together with the Marquis of Halifax and the Earl of Shrewsbury, to inform King James that the Prince of Orange desired he would quit Whitehall. Died in 1693. //
