Ireland Del,,t et fecit. / GENERAL JAMES OGLETHORPE. / Died 30th June 1785 Aged 102 said to be the oldest General in Europe__Sketched from Life at the sale of / Dr Johnsons books Feby 18, 1785 where the Genl was reading a book he had purchas'd without spectacles__In 1706 he had an / Ensigns commissioni in the Guards [ampersand] remember'd to have shot snipes in Conduit mead where Conduit Street now stands"; centre of lower margin, black print: "Samuel IRELAND".
