Inscription: Recto: lower mount, typed: Urchard (or Urquhart), Sir Thomas. / Drawn from life by G. Glover, 1646. / CHIEFLY known as the author of a spirited translation of Rabe- / lais. There is a quarto book of epigrams by him published in 1641. / The most singularly curious of all his performances, however, is "The / Discovery of a most exquisite Jewel, found in the Kennel of Worcester / Streets the Day after the Fight," &c. 8vo, 1652. It contains chiefly / the praises of such Scotsmen as have been famous in arms and arts since / the year 1600.
