Omega furniture was manufactured by commercial firms but decorated in a modern style. This chair was likely embroidered by Vanessa Bell or Winifred Gill, the Omega’s young manager. Embroidery appeared on seatbacks, cushions and firescreens and was always done by the women artists.

Fry, Roger Eliot (in Roger Fry's house, Durbins, before it was sold in 1919) & Rodker, John & Rodker, Marianne (Mrs)
