Inscription: Verso (backing sheet): right centre, graphite, first name crossed out: "Girardon / Bibbiena //"; lower right, graphite, circled: "372"; right lower edge, red crayon: "717" [or "414"]; lower edge, graphite: "N. Italian School (Venetian) C18 Blunt 86". Mount (removed, cut down and now in file): graphite, Blunt’s hand: "? 18 c. Venetian".

Collector's mark: Recto: lower left corner, stamped in blue ink: E.R. Lamponi-Leopardi (L.1760).
