Verso: upper left edge, brown ink: "Soderini pitore Firentino."; right centre, graphite: "17"; lower right, graphite, circled: "91"; lower left edge, graphite: "Blunt 72". Mount (removed, cut down and now in file): graphite, Blunt’s hand: “In on verso / Soderini pitore Fiorentino + on recto (later hand) / Probably (Mauro Soderini (1704-after 1739) / but possibly by his father) Francesco (1673-1735) / cf Foggini, Uffizi exh 1977, No. 69 (for source of style) //”; graphite: “Neg. 570/43/19”.
