Watermark: centre: circle containing a six-pointed star with a circle in the middle, topped by a cross (close to Briquet 6089 - crosses of this style often accompanied by initials found in Italy meridionale throughout the 17th century).

Inscription: Recto: upper left corner, brown ink: "95". Verso: lower left edge, graphite: "P 72-12* Blunt 71". Scraps from mount, cut down and now in file, graphite, Blunt’s hand: "Follower of Cortona / ?? for chapel in the room of S. Filippo in the Valicella”, “Altar frontal / the heart + lilies in[…] / S Filippo Neri / 72-12*"; “item 16 / 77 / P"; “£35”.
