Watermark: Recto, left centre: a double –bounded circle containing a fleur-de-lis (? Only visible in raking light so is unclear). Mount (historic): Verso, centre: two lines of illegible text.

Inscription: Recto: lower right corner of drawing, graphite, signed in reverse: “Jallier”; lower centre edge of margin, graphite: “S. Maria Maggiore” and at lower right, partly erased: "A. Joli 1700-1777” and “Jallier”. Mount (historic), Verso: lower left, graphite: “i/-/-”; lower left, brown ink: “4”; lower right, brown ink: “jollij”.

Collector's mark: Recto: lower right corner, blindstamped: François Renaud (L.1042).
