Collector's mark: none.
Inscription: Recto: upper right corner (and probably the same at lower right corner but now erased with only part of first word visible), graphite, partially erased and difficult to read: “Original Sketch by / Sir John Vanbrugh” and above that is another graphite word now illegible; upper centre, brown ink, Hawksmoor's hand according to notes in the file: “Facies Occidentalei Cappellae Regiae / Grenvican anno 1711..”; centre, written vertically in brown ink over graphite: “200 Foot high in all”; left centre, brown ink: “60” and “120”; lower left of diagram, brown ink: “Grand Facia / A / Colonade. / B”; below an archway, brown ink: “B”; lower right, in doorway, graphite, difficult to read: “118 / 20 [?]”.
