Inscription: Recto, all in Hawksmoor's hand: the central diagram is labelled in brown ink throughout, in some cases over graphite, with letters “A” through “Z” and numbers “1” through “56”; left of the diagram are two extensive columns of brown ink text, labelled “General References”, and to the right of the diagram are two extensive columns of brown ink text labelled “The Names of the Courts Gallerys and Pavilions and the / contents of each.” [neither column is here transcribed]; a graphite inscription at lower centre has been erased with only a “?” remaining. Verso (backing sheet): lower right, graphite: “Greenwich Hospital”.
