Watermark: none evident in the drawing sheet. Backing sheet (historic): centre: circle with a double border containing a lamb carrying a flagstaff staff over its shoulder, all surmounted by the letter N (no exact match found, the closest is Heawood 2838 - Rome 167-74 but there the "N" is below the circle, and an "A" is above. Churchill lists the Pascal lamb as an Italian watermark c. 1608-1657.).
