Inscription: The sheet is filled with brown ink inscriptions including numbers; as they were written first and the sketches were then drawn over them, most of them are obscured and very difficult to read. Recto: upper centre edge: “allo gdino an3 di […]”; upper right corner: “L 2 BcanZ[…] / 422 / 7 S / m / ny / 2 x 4 / x 10 & //”; etc. Same on the verso, numerous inscriptions difficult to decipher. Verso: centre and again at lower centre edge on added strip of paper, graphite: “427”.

Collector's mark: Recto: lower right corner, stamped in black ink: Richard Cosway (L.628). Verso: lower left, stamped in brown ink: Sir Robert Ludwig Mond (L.2813a).
