The experimental use of materials and methods at the Omega Workshops often leaves the exact process of creation unclear. Here, the blue and red areas have been applied using a brush, whilst a stencil appears to have been used to create the green rectangle. It has been deliberately abraded, perhaps to reveal the grid of pencil marks beneath the green paint. These marks suggest a repeat pattern may have originally been intended, but this idea was either abandoned, or the design was left unfinished.
