Verso of flyleaf is red-blue marbled paperThe "Colonel Light" mentioned in the inscription presumably refers to Colonel William Light. Light was travelling in Europe from 1824 to 1830. He published his Views of Pompeii in 1828, which consisted of lithographs by Harding after drawings by Light.
