Inscriptions

Inscription: Recto: beginning upper left and continuing for full page, brown ink: post or blue wire post - or any other very evenly / textured paper that has no other [last word crossed out] water mark / & is transparent. Wash each sheet over / thoroughly & evenly with a solution of nitrate / of silver. I use one of 50q-r or 3i [?] in 3i [?] of water / (distilled of course) - Mr Talbot recommends / one of 26q-r in 3i [?] but I believe he now uses / stronger ones. Mr Culden recommends 30 q-r / & 50, 60, 80, or even 100. for very sensitive / paper may be used with advantage. / I am confident - the paper so washed [continues on next page]; lower right, graphite: 13.
