Verso: graphite, handwritten from top left: How did Christ take away sin it is / said in Scripture he takes it away / and he puts it away. he took it away / he took it upon himself he himself / bore our Sins &c. the Scape goat had / all the Sins of Israel put upon him / and afterwards he was lead into the / wilderness. this was typical of the Sin / bearing of Christ - he put away Sin by / bearing is [last word crossed out] on the Cross that punishment / which was due to it and when he rose * / * again he entirely put it away as he / after his ascension needs not be seen / any more in this world . if he had / not completely put it away he must / often have appeared, but the apostle / say in the Hebrews says he has for ever / put away Sin by the Sacrifice of himself / so that when he appears again it will / be without Sin unto Salvation. / 3 Whose Sin did Christ put away? / the Sin of all the elect of God. called / in the Text the World. Not for Judas / nor for all those who in the last day / shall be condemned to everlasting destruction.
