Inscriptions
Watermark: Watermark: centre: large double circle with letters in the border; a strong vertical rod at centre leads me to think it is a Vryheyt mark, though is very unclear. Mount (historic), Verso: lower right edge, "J WHATMAN" (only visible in raking light, not transmitted).
Collector's mark: Mount (historic), Recto: lower left corner, stamped in black ink: Sir Robert Witt (L.2228b).
Inscription: Mount (historic), Recto: lower left corner, graphite, underneath L.2228b: "#14"; lower right edge, graphite: "Tillemans". Mount (historic), Verso: centre, graphite: "Peter Tillemans"; lower right, graphite, faded and mostly illegible: "[...] 7 [...] lol".
