Label Text

Andrea Di Lione, a contemporary of Salvatore Rosa - to whom this sheet was formerly attributed - was famous for his studies of the nude. The figure type with bushy hair and the technique with slightly broken outlines and careful rendering of the muscles recall Di Lione’s figure studies in the Museo di Capodimonte, Naples.
