Watermark: Watermark: centre: crowned shield containing fleur-de-lis above "4" above "L V G" (no exact match in Churchill or Heawood, closest is Heawood 1823, dated before 1731, but the "4" pointing in the opposite direction. Peter Bower said the "LVG" in the watermark only appeared beginning in 1694.

Inscription: Verso (backing sheet): lower left edge, brown ink: "Francisco Mille Fecit"; lower right edge, graphite, Colnaghi number: "A.14871".

Collector's mark: Verso (backing sheet): lower left corner, stamped in black ink: Sir Robert Witt (L.2228b).
