Watermark: Watermark: Verso, left centre, can't read end of date: "J.Lloyd / 18[...]" (Churchill had a J LLoyd with a watermark date of 1805, which would be later than the date signed on the recto of the drawing).
Inscription: Recto: lower left, light brown ink, located in artist's hand: "Cader IdrisS and below that signed and dated in a darker brown ink: "Joshua Cristall 1803.-". Mount (removed, in portfolio from P&D), Verso: lower right edge, grey-brown ink: "Cader Idris from near Tallyllyn, Merionethshire".
