Label: Detached from old mount, now kept separately from file, handwritten label in brown ink with typed transcription: "A Drawing similar to this implying and apparently by the same artist is in the National Portrait Gallery? (S Kensington) 'Countess of Temple' by H.D. Hamilton 1770. Three similar oval Portraits, one of Lady Minton, another of Mrs. Clive, all signed H. D. Hamilton are in the Collection of Mr. Hereford. 1877."
