Inscriptions

Watermark: Watermarks: lower centre: Pro Patria (per Peter Bower, it is very difficult to link these marks to individual makers without a countermark present. Churchill dates these marks between 1683-1799). Support (historic): Countermark: lower centre: small circle containing "GR" and laurel leaves; upper centre: large circle with a border, very difficult to see but likely a Vryheyt mark, and thus this mark/countermark is of a type with Heawood 3148 - Essex 1745 - and Churchill 95 - dated 1785.

Inscription: Recto: lower left corner, brown ink, signed by the artist?: "Micl Rýsbrack".

Collector's mark: Support (historic), Recto: lower left, stamped in black ink: Sir Robert Witt (L.2228b).
