Watermark: Watermarks: none in the drawing sheet. Support (historic), Verso: lower right, repeated but slightly out of register so support must be composed of two sheets of same paper with same mark overlaid, the marks not precisely aligned – this makes it difficult to read the letters: Strasburg lily and bend over cursive letters composed of single lines, possibly “PB”? (similar type to Heawood 118 – from Mediterranean, dated 1802).

Inscription: S De Wilde. / delin: 1800. //

Inscription: R Palmer as Tag / vide spoilt child. //

Collector's mark: collector's mark of Sir Robert Witt (L.2228b)
