Watermark: Watermark: centre: serpent around stick topped with a crosslet cross (as described by Piccard - most similar, though not exact match, to no. 43655 - Göppingen 1759).

Inscription: Recto: upper left corner, graphite, Witt number: “357”. Backing sheet (removed and now mounted separately with the drawing), Verso: centre and again at lower right edge, graphite: “357”; lower right, graphite: “Seville Sch”.

Collector's mark: Backing sheet (removed and now mounted separately with the drawing), Verso: lower left corner, stamped in black ink: Sir Robert Witt (L.2228b).
