Mount (removed, see photo), Recto: lower left, graphite: "The furious Election, at which Charles James Fox defeated Wray, largely through the help of Gorgiana, the / beautiful Duchess of Devonshire, who secured the votes of a butcher by giving him a kiss."; lower right, graphite: "John Nixon / op 1781 - in 1818 / Election Scene - Westminster 1784 / Sir Cecil Wray, C.J.
