Collector's mark: Recto: lower left corner, stamped in black ink: Sir Robert Witt (L.2228b).
Inscription: Recto: left centre margin in graphite and lower left corner in light brown ink with additions over in darker brown ink: pen marks, likely the artist’s shorthand; lower left corner, graphite: “Conway Castle” and signed with the artist’s monogram “JWD RA.” [this signature type he apparently added later to his drawings].
