Watermark: Recto, left centre: Basle crozier on a crowned shield, above some letters, possibly "TN" (if letters read correctly, could be variant of Heawood 1198 - Louvain 1597. Peter Bower was unable to read the initials more clearly).

Inscription: Recto: lower right corner, brown ink: "Ed". Verso: upper right corner, graphite: "N" or 'V"; upper right corner, brown ink, crossed out in brown ink: "24 8 i"; lower right, graphite: "40".

Collector's mark: Verso: lower left edge, stamped in black ink: Sir Robert Witt (L.2228b).
