Inscription: Recto: lower right corner, graphite, signed and dated with artist's initials in monogram; "CS. Nantes. Septr.26th. 1851.". Mount (removed, now missing but recorded in file): “Exhtd. Brit. Council, Canada, 1949/50, and American Fed. of Arts, Washington & 9 other cities, 1951.”.
