Verso: lower left edge, graphite: “923” [suggested in Knox 1980 to be related to the lot in the 1882 Bossi-Beyerlen sale]; lower centre edge, brown ink: “2. [this crossed out] f.1. No 2942.” [currency in florins, found only on Bossi-Beyerlen drawings and suggested by Knox 1980 to be Domenico’s own code].
