Watermark: Watermark: Verso, centre: crowned, double-bordered circle containing an inverted triangle within another triangle, below, with the final three letters in monogram, is "BERGAMO", and below that is a six-pointed star [see tracing in file, must be related to the similar Bergamo mark in Heawood 1867 - Bologna dated 1695].

Inscription: Verso: centre, brown ink: "246".

Collector's mark: Verso: lower left corner, stamped in black: Sir Robert Witt (L.2228b).
