Watermark: centre: shield containing a star above the letter “M” (similar marks but with shield differently shaped: Briquet 8390-8392 – Florence 1529, Luca 1578-79, Ferrara 1580 and Fabriano 1596 – and Piccard 28820 – Biberach 1606). Support (historic), Verso: centre, circle with a border containing a fleur-de-lis (seems to match Fabriano mark, Heawood 1594, though without any of the lettering).
