Inscription: Verso (backing sheet): page from an accounting book, two columns of text and numbers in brown ink: excerpt reads "Item 13 last kost 932 gul / 15 stuvrs So sal £1 last [?] / 71 gul 15 stuvrs" and is then followed by the proper exercise/calculation ["gul" comes from "gulden" (guilders), and "stuvrs" from "stuvers" (stiver/penny/farthing), £ is evidently "pond" or "pound"]; lower centre edge, brown ink: “Coning (or 'Coniug') fc Roma”.
Collector's mark: Verso (backing sheet): lower right edge, stamped in black ink: Sir Robert Witt (L.2228b).
