Inscription: Recto: lower centre, brown ink: Sirani Vecchio. Former backing (removed, now missing, recorded in condition report dated 1984): ink over pencil: Lh 51/ / F_D_ . The backing predated Sandby’s stamp, as it had been pressed through to the back.
