Watermark: Recto: right of centre: large letters "b V", the terminals of both letters ending in circles (matches the letters of Heawood 3101 and 3102 - Verona 1739-41 and Venice 1693-96 respectively - but does not appear to have the tree in between the letters as seen in 3101 and 3102).

Inscription: Recto: lower left corner, brown ink, cut off: "[...] ilLione". Verso: lower left, graphite, Witt number: "20".

Collector's mark: Verso: lower left corner, stamped in black ink: Sir Robert Witt (L.2228b).
