Watermark: Watermark: Recto, left centre edge, fragment: similar to Vryheyt or Britannia but rather than a sword or spear the object held aloft is an orb bearing a cross (no match yet found in Churchill or Heawood).

Inscription: Verso: upper left, brown ink: "Eny 1114 / 1114 / LL [?]" could be a paraphe, but no match found on Lugt).

Collector's mark: Recto: lower right corner, stamped in black: Sir Robert Witt (L.2228b).
