Watermark: Watermark: mount (historic), verso, lower centre edge: fragment of a fleur-de-lis above a shield crossed with a diagonal band, above the letter “V” (a second letter has been cut off and is illegible).

Inscription: Recto: lower left corner, graphite: “101”. Mount (historic), Verso: centre, graphite, large, second line erased: “Salviati / Baroccio? //”.

Collector's mark: Recto: lower left corner, stamped in black ink: Thomas Hudson (L.2432). Mount (historic), Recto, lower left corner and repeated again on Verso, lower left corner, stamped in black ink: Sir Robert Witt (L.2228b).
