Label: 'St Aubin 17', 'mouldy (?)' upper right (difficult to read) on sheet of brown paper, possibly used as restoration material.
Collector's mark: Scrap removed from the mount, now mounted with the drawing: stamped in red ink: John Postle Heseltine (L.1508).
