Inscriptions
Watermark: Watermark: centre: circle containing three small hills (not found in Heawood or Piccard).
Inscription: Recto: lower right of centre edge, brown ink: “Mpier Lafage” [written over “Lafange”] and below that “Monsre Lafage”.
Collector's mark: Recto: upper left corner, stamped in black ink but not fully transferred: possibly unidentified collector’s mark (L.2693)? Witt suggested this mark, though with a question mark (and perhaps taking the suggestion from Spencer, whence he acquired it), and it could match, but is only 20 mm wide while L.2693 is 25 mm according to Lugt.
