Inscriptions

Watermark: unable to see any due to backing sheet.

Inscription: Recto: upper right, brown ink: “Es de Anto del Castillo” [possibly indicating his ownership of this drawing, see Veliz 2011] and below that, crossed out: “no 150” [the “o” superscript, or “o / niso”]. Verso (hidden under backing sheet, visible only with transmitted light): upper centre, brown ink, obscured by drawing on recto and backing sheet, but looks similar to that on the verso of D.1952.RW.28: “8 q9[...]”. Support (historic), Recto: lower left, brown ink: “Castillo”; lower right, graphite, Witt number: “129”.

Collector's mark: Support (historic), Recto: lower left, stamped in black ink: Sir Robert Witt (L.2228b).
