Inscription: Verso: upper left corner, graphite: "a:459"; upper centre, brown ink: "6" and a paraphe, or quill test; left of centre, brown ink: "33"; right of centre, brown ink, artist's hand: "de frome liefde die daer groeyt / ghelyck het loff inde lente bloeyt / en doet de liefde vast bestant //"; lower right edge, brown ink, cut off at lower edge: "Swanevelt / F //".

Collector's mark: Verso: lower right corner, stamped in black ink: Sir Robert Witt (L.2228b).
