C’est un tesmoignage; / Que les amitiez bien fondés se renforcent par la presence de la personne que nous aimons, comme par / celle du Soliel [sic], les fleurs et le plantes reprennent une nouvelle vigueur. [Ulysses’ relations come to greet him in his father’s house and rejoice in his return; this is a testimony that well-established friendships are reinforced by the presence of those we love, as, through that of the sun, flowers and plants are reinvigorated.]
