Watermark: Verso, left centre: man balancing on one foot on a ball, holding banner over his head; Countermark, right centre: "VAN GELDER ZONEN" (see drawing of figure in file, similar to Heawood 1364 and 1365 but a later mark).

Inscription: Recto: lower right, black chalk, signed: "forain". Verso: upper left corner, graphite: “T 4000” and below that “3093 / T” [Arthur Tooth inventory numbers?]; upper centre edge, graphite: “13”; lower left edge, graphite, circled, partly trimmed away: “013[?]”.
